27 Aug Here I Am – Dub Poet Oku Onuora
Producer David O collaborated with long time friend Oku Onuora, a leading Jamaican dub poet, on David’s track “Here I Am”. Duplex enlisted the strong talents of hand drummers Junior Wedderburn and Courtney Panton, who handled the jembe and the thunder drum to create a Bura-binghi beat. David added bass and horns with Oku chanting over the top. The end result is a haunting dub track that is sure to please.
